One of the best ways to avoid infections is to stop touching your face, but it’s much harder than you think. Here’s some easy ways to avoid touching your face.
- Stop slouching or leaning on desks. You are more likely to touch your face if you’re leaning on something for support.
- Keep your hands busy. Hard to touch your face if your hands are full right? Pens, rings, coffee, stress balls, etc. Just remember to wipe them down first!
- Start keeping track. We’ve all found out how much we touch our faces now that we’re more aware of it. Keeping track makes you notice how frequently you do it.
- Wear a lotion scent you don’t like! The bad smell can help to retrain your habits and just smelling the scent will make you aware you’re touching your face again.
